Famous menus and popular desserts around the world during wintertime, be it Glühwein Germany, Glögg Sweden, Cheese Fondue Switzerland and Bungeo-ppang South Korea
The Menu: Glühwein, Germany

If you are in Germany during winter, try sipping Glühwein, a sweet wine served warm. By boiling red wine and adding fragrant aromatics with spices such as cinnamon, cloves, vanilla stem, sugar, lemon and perhaps a touch of ginger for that extra tangy peppery taste – warm Glühwein will help relieve the cold factor as well. Glühwein is popular during Christmas and New Year holidays. It’s regarded as a traditional drink at Christmas markets held all over Germany. If it is past Christmas festivities, then you can find this beverage at bars and cafes in Munich or other cities. Just look for ‘Gourmet Glühwein’ near the outskirts of the Old Town or Wittelsbacherplatz.
