Published in August 2025 by Silkworm Books, Take Home Thailand is his 14th cookbook and a heartfelt tribute to a country he has visited more than 100 times. “I’m going back through the history of my travels in Thailand. My very first cookbook—23 years ago—was about healthy Thai food. Fourteen cookbooks later, I wanted to give people something more personal: a true souvenir from Thailand.”

The cookbook explores Thailand’s culinary heritage, memorable hotels, and how to prepare easy Thai-inspired meals at home. “I want readers to feel the passion I have for this place and to take home dishes they can actually cook. These are classic Thai recipes, tweaked just a bit so you can make them anywhere.”

With nearly 100 recipes spanning street food, breakfasts, curries, soups, and desserts, the book makes Thai cuisine accessible to home cooks everywhere. Chef Daniel simplifies ingredients and techniques, offering adaptable versions of traditional dishes—without losing the soul of Thai flavor. Each recipe is complemented by personal stories and on-location photography, bringing every dish to life.

For the immersive experience, the collaboration between Chef Montri and Chef Daniel at The House of Smooth Curry brings their shared love of flavor and culture to the table. Highlights include a spicy crab salad—vivid and invigorating; organic black chicken simmered with turmeric—comforting yet bright; crispy salmon fish cakes—crisp and melodic; and Chiang Mai mulberry ice cream—sweet, cool, and refreshing. This menu celebrates taste, tradition, and innovation, brought to life through two distinct culinary voices.

The menu inspired by the book will remain available through 18 October 2025, and Chef Daniel’s Take Home Thailand cookbook is available at Asia Books.
