Bangkok offers a unique culinary experience where the city’s rich heritage is preserved within magnificent mansions, now transformed into fine-dining destinations. These iconic venues, once private residences or official buildings, now invite diners to savor Thai and international cuisines amid captivating history and architecture.
1. Baan Dusit Thani
A legacy reborn through taste and tradition.
Opened in 2019, Baan Dusit Thani is a standalone destination honoring the legacy of the original Dusit Thani Bangkok, which operated from 1970 to 2019. This beautifully restored pre-WWII mansion, Sala Daeng House, is nestled on a 4.5-rai estate in the heart of Saladaeng—right behind the newly reopened Dusit Thani Bangkok.

Meticulously renovated by PIA Interior, the historic white mansion retains its original charm while accommodating today’s creative and culinary needs. The estate now serves as a lush garden sanctuary in the city, offering reimagined signature restaurants from the original hotel: Benjarong (Thai cuisine), Thien Duong (Vietnamese), Dusit Gourmet (café and bistro), and Nómada Bangkok (South American fusion), a sister to the brand’s Hua Hin location.

A living museum in itself, Baan Dusit Thani also features original furnishings and décor from the former hotel, artfully integrated into the space to celebrate its heritage.
