Gliding into 2026, Bangkok’s landscape is being redefined by three major landmarks that bridge the city’s storied past with a bold, contemporary future. These transformative openings are truly elevating the city’s perspective on culture, nature, and gastronomy.

Sky-High Sanctuary

The city’s newest rooftop park floats high above the ground, and sprawls across 11,200 square meters. Suan Dusit Arun (Dusit Arun Park) (Daily: 06:00-22:00) is a sky garden – complete with waterfalls, pavilions, and gardens filled with 100% Thai plants – adjacent to the city’s Lumpini Park. Early birds come for sunrise jogs, while crowds flock each evening to enjoy the golden-hour views and find a peaceful spot to watch the city buzzing down below. For Bangkokians and visitors alike, this elevated urban park is a welcome breath of fresh air.

Le Normandie’s New Era

The most famous French restaurant in Bangkok, Le Normandie (Wed-Sun: 12:00-15:30, 18:30-23:30) has entered a new chapter due to the arrival of Anne-Sophie Pic – a female chef famous for earning three Michelin stars for Maison Pic restaurant in France. Her menu of refined signature dishes, like Les Berlingots with camembert and saffron, coincides with a renovation of the classic fine-dining venue, which is located within the equally venerable Mandarin Oriental Bangkok Hotel. Conceived by design firm Humbert & Poyet, this contemporary space now boasts Jim Thompson silks and delicate peony embroideries – alongside perhaps the best French food in the region.

A New Dip into Art

One of the most anticipated openings of late 2025, Dib Bangkok is a new cultural landmark where contemporary art serves as a shared language of humanity. The museum honors local and international artists alike, providing a home where diverse voices meet, resonate, and inspire.

Housed in a repurposed 1980s warehouse redesigned by Kulapat Yantrasast, the museum’s name—Thai for “raw” or “authentic”—is reflected in its architecture. By preserving original concrete pillars and traditional window grilles, the design subtly links the past to the present.

The inaugural exhibition, (In)visible Presence (through 3 Aug 2026), features 81 works by 40 contemporary artists. Through sound, scent, and light, the collection invites visitors to sense the sublime and discover what cannot be seen.
