Cycling to see nature around Amphawa
Start the day by cycling along Amphawa canal, where you will get to exercise and at the same time see nature in and around fruit orchards. You can opt for a short distance ride of 10 kilometers or a longer distance of 40-60 kilometers.

Late morning to noon
Ban Bang Phlap community…an original nature experience
The Ban Bang Phlap community is only 3 kilometers from Amphawa market. There is a learning center for tourists to try their hand at making coconut sugar with traditional methods. Other activities include visits to different fruit orchards such as coconut, banana, lychee and pomelo. Visitors will also see how locals practice conservation farming firsthand.

Afternoon
Visit Amphawa Chaipattananurak Conservation Project
Stop by to visit an agricultural garden workshop which demonstrates the process of making fermented vinegar from coconut flower nectar and traditional coconut sugar without using chemicals. If you happen to travel in April, you may get a chance to taste the sweet and fragrant Amphawa lychee cultivated in the project.

Chill at Amphawa floating market and enjoy charms of houses along the canal
Houses on both sides of the canal still retain their original rustic charm. In the evening, the canal is be filled with boat vendors selling food, snacks and drinks. On land, a line of merchants sell local cuisine, noodles, coffee and other delicacies for tourists.

Firefly boat trips
End your day by relaxing comfortably with highlights of
Amphawa tourism such as synchronous firefly boat trips to areas along the canals that are lined with Lamphu trees. You can see boat schedules at Amphawa floating market or ask your homestay or hotel accommodations for more information.
Tips: Best time for synchronous firefly boat trips is the rainy season (May-October) during high tide because boats can dock near the Lamphu trees for a better view of the fireflies.
