We will take you to Amphawa, a small district in Samut Songkhram province located about 80 kilometers or an hour drive from Bangkok. You will experience riverside community lifestyle by the Amphawa canal, while embracing cultural and traditional ways of life. Here are the recommended activities from morning till evening.
Morning
Cycling to see nature around Amphawa
Start the day by cycling along Amphawa canal, where you will get to exercise and at the same time see nature in and around fruit orchards. You can opt for a short distance ride of 10 kilometers or a longer distance of 40-60 kilometers.
Late morning to noon
Ban Bang Phlap community…an original nature experience
The Ban Bang Phlap community is only 3 kilometers from Amphawa market. There is a learning center for tourists to try their hand at making coconut sugar with traditional methods. Other activities include visits to different fruit orchards such as coconut, banana, lychee and pomelo. Visitors will also see how locals practice conservation farming firsthand.
