After witnessing the beauty of palaces, do not forget to stop and admire the royal lavish gardens.
1. Versailles Palace
France
The Palace of Versailles is one of the most beautiful palaces in Europe. However, sharing the glory and grandeur is the equally magnificent gardens of the Palace of Versailles itself. The sprawling 1,976-acre garden displays a symmetrical landscape layout, which means that the garden layout on both sides is exactly the same. There are beautiful fountains and sculptures that are strategically to perfection in the garden. Due to the garden’s large size, we recommend taking a break at Le Dauphin, the most delightful café in the garden that serves drinks, desserts and snacks to refuel your energy for the remainder of your walk. Every Spring to Fall, there are musical performances and fountain shows in the garden. Tickets for the music and fountain shows can be purchased separately from the Palace Tour.

2. Isola Bella
Italy
Isola Bella is one of the islands in the middle of Lake Maggiore, North of Milan. Within the island is the Baroque castle Palazzo Borromeo and its large Baroque gardens of the equally lavish Teatro Massimo. Inside the garden are decorated statues, carved pillars and intricately crafted waterfalls. There are also colorful ornamental plants, roses, rhododendrons and camellias. Highlights are beautiful white peacocks walking freely in the garden, creating a fairy-tale image to captivate senses. If you have time, you should also visit the nearby island of Isola Madre.
